June 17th is the day

I am starting to really feel the nerves, I am on day 5 of the pre-op diet and doing ok, I've lost almost 15 since the day I started on it. I had my pre-op meeting today and they discussed a lot of what would be happening during the surgery and after. I am excited for the change but also I am super super nervous about my life afterwards. I have been addicted to food for so long that I'm just afraid. On the other side of the coin, I can't wait to start living again, especially for things other than food. Anyone with any similar feelings? Please feel free to share

15 pounds in 5 days?! That's amazing!

I'm going in a day before you - yes, so nervous as well - but also so excited!

Tomorrow is my last day in the office - I will have a 3-day weekend to clean house and do all final preparations. Can't wait to be through the surgery and healing. See you on the other side! We will do great.

I also have surgery on the 17th. Mind is starting to wander a little bit. But overall I have not been thinking about it to much. It helps that I have a big family reunion this weekend. Talk about a test. I keep reminding myself that the reunion is about the people and not the food.

Anyway, I think nerves are normal before any life changing event. Stay strong the end results is so worth it.
