Ok so I'm scheduled for surgery on June 23rd and am very excited and nervous also, one of my worries are that what if when I lose the weight my husband won't be attracted to me, now I've always been a big girl and he knew that of-course when he met me although I did put on 60lbs during the relationship but I still wonder if maybe the weight loss won't look good on me because I've always known myself to be big. I know my husband loves me for me and my personality and big heart but I still just wonder...... Does anyone else have this feelings? Please let me know!

I wish you the greatest of successes with your surgery. It was one of the best decisions I ever made. No regrets. My relationship matured via surgery. It can turn into something positive and meaningful. Improving your health ultimately improves relationships. This is my opinion and experience. Again, wishing you the very best of success.

Oh wow I swear my hubby and I just talked about this the other day! He has always been attracted to bigger girls and I was worried if I did this that he just wouldn't be interested. He reassured me that if me losing weight meant I was healthier and happier then he was there with me 1000%. He said no matter what he wasn't going anywhere. I think he knew I needed those words of encouragement.

The only person you HAVE to live with for the rest of your life is yourself. I'm not saying "be selfish". I'm saying you have to do what makes you happy and healthy. Everything else will fall into place. He should love you with his heart and if he doesn't... then that's not love that's a visual attraction. And visual attraction doesn't last. Because guess what... we all change. Our bodies change, our faces change.

Hang in there!

My surgery is the 23rd too!

If your husband truly loves you for who you are inside, not the size you are, then you have nothing to worry about. Have a talk with him about your fears and give him the chance to reassure you that his feelings will not change after you lose weight. :)

For me it's not a matter of the love not being there. He shows me and tells me he loves me all the time. It's more of a worry if the attraction will be there. He loves chubby girls. That's all he has ever dated. And he is a tall fit guy in the military. So we get the " what the hell is he doing with her" kinda looks :/.
