I understand that there are stalls but does anyone gain while stalled?

Just a little worried.

I agree with RJ. Hang in there and do not worry about stalls. It is your bodies own rythem of loosing. Only focus on the plan. I did not weigh myself for almost 3 months post. I just weighed at doctors office. You will see you body will lose then not lose and then lose. Before you know it you will be in skinny jeans:)

Off topic RJ how are you doing.? I have been thinking of you and wondering about your last post. Are you feeling better?

I am home with a drain @@awold0 right now and it will be there for several weeks and then another CT scan and then another week and it should be removed.

I am in a lot of pain but not as much as I was.....Taking one step at a time..Always been my motto!

Thanks for asking...I also hit my goal weight when I was in the hospital...I am kinda unsettled about that for some reason..Will have to figure that one out! :)

I am 3 months and was 34 pounds down hit a stall and started gaining. 3-4 pounds. The stall I can handle, the weight gain has me discouraged.

Is occasional gain expected?

RJ will say a prayer for you! I see you post often and you rock!!

Two months out from hiatal hernia repair.  Surgeon said to expect a lot more flatulence...something about the 'air' no longer being able to 'burp' out so comes out the other end.  That is my experience but have no understanding of why that swallowed air cannot be 'burped'. ???

As I understand it since your stomach is smaller and not completely resting against your diaphragm anymore you no longer have the ability to "push" burps out as well. Plus, since its smaller and we don't digest slower the trapped air moves a lot quicker out of the stomach so its no longer available to burp out. Hence the other option for removal.

Me too girl!! Are you in the full liquid diet right now? It’s sooooo hard!

      2. LadyVeteran1

Not yet. I was told I only have to do 24 hours of a liquid diet. But I have my pre-op tomorrow so I’m going to confirm if I need to do longer.

Down 33 lbs and slightly stalled, but I'm gonna reevaluate and push through. I started back to work last week after 2 years of being disabled due to mental health as well as my weight. It's a great job and I'm just so happy to have this opportunity at a second chance at life. Hope everyone is having their best journey ❤️ Together, we got this!
