And I was also wondering how long the recovery might be on average. Thank you to whoever can shed some light on these questions!

Define the word recovery. Able to resume normal activities OR your old self? I was cleared to go back to work and start exercise (beyond walking)again at 6 weeks. I was cleared for all activities at 8 weeks. In reality I didn't really feel like doing really active stuff like horse back riding, hard workouts etc until 10-12 weeks. I wore compression garments longer than required to keep swelling down. I was probably 3-4 months before I felt normal with minimal swelling.

Real self is a source for rough pricing info. I was always quoted multiple procedures. Also prices vary.

For me it was worth it. I am transformed.

Hi, Mal0712

A body lift is not a procedure, it is a combination of procedures that when put together are refer as LOWER BODY LIFT or UPPER BODY LIFT.

Lower body lift: Leg lift, Tummy Tuck, liposuction, buttock lift, fat transfer to the buttock,

Upper body lift: Breast lift, reduction, augmentation, reconstruction, arm lift, Lipo,

If you tell me abit about your current condition I will be able to guide you better.

Just a bit of advice, WHATEVER YOU DO, LEAVE YOUR BREAST PROCEDURE FOR LAST. trust me.
[/QUOTe

I haven't had the bypass yet. Basically my PCP told me she is 100% sure that I will have to have my arms, legs, tummy, butt, boobs, and possibly chin area done after surgery. Basically head to toe surgery. I was wanting to see an average amount spent on having all this kinda work done so I know how much I will looking at having to save up.

I had several different consults before having plastics and notice there are lots of theories. There are plenty of people who have breasts done at the same time as a lower body lift like I did. Worked out great and for me having fewer number of surgeries was a priority. To each his/her own.

I do think that the "body lift" - for most of us that is a lower body lift is the foundation procedure and really should be done at the beginning of the plastics journey as it does kind of create the canvas. I look at pix right after my surgery versus now and frankly i had immediate results, I was already fit and had good am muscles so once the skin was gone i had a flat tummy before the many weeks in compression garments. I am 8 months out from pretty extensive plastics and very pleased with results. I weigh 10 pounds less that I did at date of plastics.

Two months out from hiatal hernia repair. Surgeon said to expect a lot more flatulence...something about the 'air' no longer being able to 'burp' out so comes out the other end. That is my experience but have no understanding of why that swallowed air cannot be 'burped'. ???

Me too girl!! Are you in the full liquid diet right now? It’s sooooo hard!

      2. LadyVeteran1

Not yet. I was told I only have to do 24 hours of a liquid diet. But I have my pre-op tomorrow so I’m going to confirm if I need to do longer.

Down 33 lbs and slightly stalled, but I'm gonna reevaluate and push through. I started back to work last week after 2 years of being disabled due to mental health as well as my weight. It's a great job and I'm just so happy to have this opportunity at a second chance at life. Hope everyone is having their best journey ❤️ Together, we got this!
