My wife is being unfaithful...

Recommended Posts

At least that's how she describes it, unfaithful to the old me.

My amazing, gorgeous wife has always said (and demonstrated!) that she thought I was attractive/sexy even when I was up to 327 pounds. Now I am 3 months post op and down 82 pounds to 245 and she is on me like white on rice!

Not that I mind ;) but it is kinda funny to hear how conflicted she feels. She feels guilty when she tells me now that I look good and feels compelled to say, "I thought you looked good before, too".

Ah well, a nice problem to have. When I shed another 40 to get to my goal weight I may just have to fight her off with a stick to get some rest!

PS - Sorry, I didn't realize this was the guys room. I clicked on the link on the sidebar.

Who cares if this is the guy's room. I think it is fantastic. No rest for the wicked. LOL Best of luck!

Lol well remember that every 30lbs for a guy gives you an average of another inch. That also *may* have something to do with it ;-)

when i was a newbie, i saw saw the word "funeral" as a post heading <_<

went to read it figuring it was oviously something about a poor person dying :(

then I realized "they" were referring to their last meal, "food funeral" :)

now i hear about your better half being unfaithful!!! :(

funny how a phrase can be misinterpretted!!!!

Lol, guys at work have been breaking my chops about how much weight I dropped and they will say "hay I heard you're wife is cheating on you with some skinny guy". In all reality I couldn't of asked for a better support partner she's had my back since day 1, weather overweight or skinny I've been blessed everyday since finding her.

I think this is something that most of us will share after surgery. While our sex life has improved tenfold. The biggest thrill I get is when we get dressed to go out and my wifes eyes light up when she sees me in my "almost skinny" clothes. She gets the look like she wants to take them back off LOL.. and this is after 26 years of marriage.

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
