Believe123 11 Posted June 10, 2014 Hi Everyone! This is my first post. I had gastric sleeve surgery on June 9th. (Yesterday)I am still in the hospital but so far so good! Just wanted to let anyone who is nervous what to expect my experience has been good so far. Surgery was one hour. I was in pain when I woke up from surgery but as soon as the meds kicked in I was ok. I was up and going up the bathroom a few hours later. Hard not being able drink anything the day of the surgery but got through it. Once you have your X-ray you are cleared to have some liquids... I have never been so excited to see chicken broth. Took 3 sips and I feel full! So far I am so surprised how good I feel. I'll take it one day at a time. I'm a little nervous that he doesn't have me doing a liquid diet like everyone else seems to do.. Did you do a liquid beforehand? Thanks!
