SingleMom33 25 Posted June 12, 2014 Ok thanks ladies I have travel alone I do feel confident of being alone an when I choose which dr I feel comfortable with doing my surgery I will seek a buddy I hope to have done the end of July U will be just fine. I went alone on may 28 and the nurses and doctors took very good Care of me. Just put a translating app on your phone cause none of the nurses speak English! It was a great experience! Don't worry! 1 chocolate48diva reacted to this

chocolate48diva 10 Posted June 13, 2014 Ok so I'm getting nervous cause I'm not getting good customer services from a coordinators should I be concern at all he is very very slow answering my emails and the info is skippy just basic not detail
CandyPants81 94 Posted June 13, 2014 How slow is very slow? There was a surgeon that I was considering that I struck from my list because I could not get a response back from a coordinator. After multiple times of me reaching out to them, they still took a full week to send me an information packet. In my opinion that was extremely unprofessional, and I don't want to be off in Mexico and receive that type of support. I understand that family emergencies happen, and things come up (none of these was the case, but if it had been, I could understand), but I was promised contact time and time again and never received it. And by the time they did follow up, I had already booked with another surgeon. Good luck! C.

chocolate48diva 10 Posted June 14, 2014 (edited) Which surgeon did you pick choco? The coordinators name is Omar Edited June 14, 2014 by chocolate48diva
Travelmego 235 Posted June 14, 2014 Choco did you join the Facebook group? Do that - lots of people in contact. Call Omar on the phone. He is often with patients helping them out but he has always made time to speak with me. My impression is he does the email and such in the evenings after he is done helping patients. Ask him why he is being slow to respond and tell him it is making you uncomfortable.
chocolate48diva 10 Posted June 16, 2014 I have my date and my flight it's July 22 I had a doozy with the flight times I did my schedule around the times I needed to be there and the time I need to leave in order to not have a over nite flight going back home is not as bad as going there but you live and learn
Travelmego 235 Posted June 16, 2014 I advise getting some travel insurance in case you have to make any changes. It isn't very expensive. 2 chocolate48diva and CandyPants81 reacted to this
