I know from my end, I was happy to do the 6 months pre op so I knew as much as humanly possible about the sleeve. My surgery date was originally 12/19/13 and because of the 6 month pre op we discovered a few intolerances that resulted in my being very ill and having to get my gallbladder taken out (which happened on November 9, 2013. After healing and making sure I had no gastrointestinal issues from my intolerances I am now finally 20 pounds down and scheduled for surgery on June 23rd! I would recommend doing the pre op work and getting in the right mind set for the life changing event that is going to occur.

So item 1 - you don't have another plan. You're paying cash. Second piece of this - you don't know if it will be covered because you're not following the prior requirements. The requirements are the 6 month diet plan/or nutritional monitoring
