Shiner86 60 Posted June 10, 2014 So I have been pretty busy at work and haven't had time to think about surgery. Now that it's two days away it's all I think about and on the way home today I just started crying. Mainly I think it was fear but some of it was disappointment that I ever got to the point where surgery is the only fix. I know being nervous about surgery is normal, I guess I just didn't anticipate how emotional this journey is. Now that I can't go eat my feelings my whole world was flipped upside down. Anyways, I hope I am not the only one who felt like this before surgery. 2 blondiebabs and BeagleLover reacted to this
Fullofitx3 146 Posted June 10, 2014 I felt the same way and was scared up until they put me under. Now almost 5 months post op I'm a totally different man, more active, healthier, I haven't felt or looked this good my entire life, went from size 40 pants and tight xxl shirts to 34-36 pants and l-xl shirts. Now my wife who has been trying to do it on her own and struggling as long as I have is going through the process to get the surgery and join me on this journey. 1 blondiebabs reacted to this
SusinMichigan 76 Posted June 10, 2014 (edited) Oh boy, I have been crying for the last 3 months. Today, after reading all the postings on the topic "What do you miss most after weight loss surgery" ... I came to a peaceful spot and as I was telling my husband about it, I didn't cry. I asked if he noticed I wasn't crying and he said he did and wondered if I was ok! I think I'm going to be fine and you will too. Just a lot of changes and different things going on. Good luck on your surgery. BTW, I'm scheduled for surgery on July 1, so I'm pre-op too!
