candesjarlais 14 Posted June 9, 2014 Wow thats awesome...congrats..im almost 3 weeks out (wednesday ) and im down 14 lbs since the surgery and 28 since the 2 week pre op diet. Any advise on week 3 pureed fruits and small veges and meat? ?
mtwtvl71 48 Posted June 10, 2014 I made chicken salad chopped very fine and used fat free ranch dressing instead of mayo. It was very good. You can add a little chicken stock to it also. Also egg salad chopped very fine with onion powder. I added strawberry Protein Powder to my yogurt and added it to SF pudding too. Also made chili then used a hand blender to make it smooth. It was so nice to eat something with flavor. Of course cottage cheese and applesauce no sugar added is good too. 1 Lake girl reacted to this
Lake girl 8 Posted June 12, 2014 I just started puréed stage 3! I find myself getting full fast but get hungry again in a short amount of time! I'm down 30lbs in 3 weeks which is so exciting! I know it will slow but what a great motivator!!!!
candesjarlais 14 Posted June 12, 2014 Today I started stage 3 too, I had mashed potatoes today and also had tuna with light mayo. I bought a butternut squash and spagetti squash for veges and I bought strawberries and banana and pineapple to blend for fruits. I havent tried them yet. Not sure about the meat thing yet. I will probably cook it and shred it and maybe some fish but not sure about any others meats. Any other suggestions will be great. Down 29 lbs since 2 week pre op diet and 14 since surgery May 28th. Not feeling hungry or full really just the same all the time, satisfied. 2 radele and Lake girl reacted to this
Lake girl 8 Posted June 13, 2014 I cooked up 90% ground sirloin! Put it in the food processor with stewed tomatoes! It had the fine consistency of baby food but was tasty! The stewed tomatoes made it moist enough! Also like cottage cheese and Greek yogurt! Bought chicken but haven't tried that yet! I started back to work today and noticed I had a harder time getting all my fluids in! I need to work on that! Glad to hear everyone is doing well!
Lake girl 8 Posted June 17, 2014 I have my 4 week post op visit with the surgeon and nutritionist this coming Thursday. I feel good! I'm back to work full time this week! I wish I could have taken the whole summer off but my bank account didn't agree! The hardest part with being back to work is getting the required protien in, Fluid and of course the almighty excersise! As far as food choices.......I am pureed chicken with low fat gravy, 90% beef with stewed tomatoes puréed and fish!!!! Cottage cheese and of course Greek yogurt! Sooooo many times I had to stop myself from taking a sip of Water with eating! I have to hide the bottle or glass! That's hard!!!!
Marathongirl 106 Posted June 18, 2014 That's wonderful! I remember when I tried fish for the first time, didn't go so well for me either. Now, I am able to eat just about everything (3 months post-op). Keep up the awesome work! 1 Lake girl reacted to this
