Hi xojessny,

I'm in the same boat. Lost the first 14 or so and then NADA! I hope it's what people on the forum says it is "our bodies recalibrating". It's hard not seeing the scale move for almost two weeks. Hang in there!

What you are experiencing is completely normal. This explains some of the reasons behind it...

I think that stalls are normal. I lost a lot of weight and then stalled for two months, lost some more weight, and stalled again. I can only recommend to "follow the rules" and eventually the weight loss returns. The main issue is whether you are improving your health. I wish you the best of success.

Unfortunately stalls happen regularly and the closer you are to goal the longer they seem to last, I know of a couple people that have been in stalls that lasted up to 8 weeks. Just remember as long as you make all the right choices and start moving once you are okayed to do so, it will come off.. I promise. In the meant time take measurements and give the scale a vacation. It can completely deflate you and is not a reliable source of progress validation. :)

Agree. I only look at it once a week and that has helped my sanity. When I first got out of the hospital I was on that thing way too much and I realized that me staring at a scale wasn't doing much for me. I can tell by clothes so much that the weight is coming off and when I do my weekly check-in, I am encouraged but more than anything, it's the clothes.

Hang in there. 3 weeks out and in the same boat. I even had the nerve to try on clothes hoping they would extremely loose. Its not time yet. We'll get there and it will come off. I had to throw my scale in the closet

I thought I was doing everything perfect and was very excited for my one month post-op and doctor said "oh no you are eating way to much" when I thought I was already eating such a small amount so he lowered my calories to 700-800 calories and again I felt like when I was in pre-op diet, but it got better and down 37 pounds total and now nothing...one pound up, one pound down on 700 calories...really, but I know I will get there and you guys hang in there too! We all knew this wasn't going to happen overnight and my doctor planned on one year for me to lose 90 pounds so embrace how lucky we are that we made this incredible decision to take control of our lives and our health and enjoy the journey of self discovery!

Been stuck at the same weight for about a week n few days!! Eating small meals n mostly Protein And walk everyday!! I don't get it Starting to feel like my body just wants to stay fat Was sleeve may 19

I'm in the same boat sister! I was sleeved May 20th. I'm consuming all my Protein and my Water and my Vitamins. I've been walking almost everyday (some days in just so tired) and the scale creeps. It's so reluctant! How did I stay at one weight (grant it it was unhealthy) eating 1700 calories a day and now I'm eating 500 and it's barely moving?! I sometimes feel so defeated like I'm doing something wrong and my body is just telling me I'm gonna be fat my whole life.

I've skimmed through a lot of posts on here and we're not the only ones. It's defeating reading that people who had the sleeve the same week we did are down 20-30lbs. I completely understand. What I'm starting to see is that weight either falls off of you or it takes it's sweet ol' time. We've got to remember that we didn't gain it all in a couple weeks and any weight loss is a win! Hang in there and know that you're not alone. It's a journey and the plans we have WILL work...eventually lol.

I had surgery on May 19th as well! I had a 1 1/2 week stall, it sucks I know. I noticed I didn't have a movement in a while so I took some dulcolex and that got me losing again. Hang in there! Set small goals for yourself -- you can do this!!!

Just been waiting until time for my consult with my bariatric surgeon. It's scheduled for Jan 9th. Turns out I won't actually be seeing him. Apparently it'll be with his P.A.             Not sure what to expect. I thought this is where the surgeon would discuss the best surgery option for me. For years I had my heart set on the sleeve, but I've read so many people have issues with reflux - even if they've never had it before - that they've had to be revised to the bypass. I already deal with GERD & take 40 mg of Omeprazole daily, so I started studying about bypass and honestly, it seems like it might be the better choice for me. How can we discuss surgery options if the surgeon is not there?
What happened at your first consult? Trying to get an idea of what to expect, or maybe I should say, what NOT to expect.
