enjoythetime 1,457 Posted June 9, 2014 Yesterday we celebrated my son's bday at a nearby waterpark. As I'm setting there on my chair soaking up some rays, I happen to look over and realize the diving boards staring right at me. I remember thinking to myself yeah right you can't jump off that, everyone will stare at you and laugh. Then I realized, hey I'm NOT 289lbs any more, it was almost as if I had forgotten my size now, so with a happy smile on my face I jumped right out of my chair made my way up the tall ladder and took a splash off the high dive....man was it fun especially when I realized that people weren't looking at me thinking this lady is going to drain the pool .....haha. As silly as this may sound I can't tell you how great this made me feel, especially when I looked over to see my kids, hubby and family all looking at me cheering me on:-) Good times!!! 11 Lady VS, Cindi2014, Leepers and 8 others reacted to this
chasingadream 1,311 Posted June 9, 2014 That's awesome…good for you! It is SO nice to live life again! Yesterday, I sat next to my 4 yr old daughter on the swing set and ACTUALLY began to swing….wasnt afraid I was gonna break the darn thing. Amazing how the little things are the ones that mean the most these days…and make me realize how truly far I've come! Thanks for continuing to share your amazing journey! 4 nerms, Bandista, Bama53 and 1 other reacted to this

gowalking 10,790 Posted June 9, 2014 It's still new to me also...this smaller body I inhabit. I know (and hope) that it becomes ordinary and just a part of my life, but for now, I'm still surprised by how much less space I take up as a normal sized person....and how no one notices me anymore for the wrong reasons. 3 Bama53, Bandista and enjoythetime reacted to this
Bandista 7,466 Posted June 9, 2014 This whole thing is like one big high dive, and you are SOARING! So happy for you. I often quite Toad from Arnold Lobel's children's book, Frog and Toad: "I don't want anybody to see me in my bathing suit." It's all in the voice. 2 Bama53 and enjoythetime reacted to this
