Tomorrow is my three month sleeversary and I want to list the things I love about the sleeve:

Controlling what I eat, instead of it controlling me

Smaller clothes! Although this is ongoing and every changing

Knowing my limit in terms of eating and feeling satisfied thanks to sleeve

All glory to the sleeve LOL

Also I want to know how many other sleevers had multiple attempts at changing their life through the corporate liars I call Weight Watchers. I have spent so much money and time with them and it was all for naught, please tell mesomeone else has had this experience.

You are not alone! I have probably spent thousands of dollars over the last 30 years with WW.

I had a bad experience with them. When I plataued they acted like I had done something wrong. They act like women aren't supposed to gain Fluid weight before their periods.

When I needed proof of my meetings for the insurance company they were absolutely horrid.

Part of the issue is they only hire people who have lost weight and maintained on weight watchers which usually means leaders that have only lost about 20-30lbs. It makes sense of course business wise.

Also the system is constantly changing. The support part does help but when it comes down to it is still is about will power and the spend your points on what you like mentality doesn't really encourage balanced eating

My 17 tear old lost 65 pounds in one year on weight watchers. She's dedicated and motivated so WW worked great for her.

Also, my mother who is 8 years post bypass follows WW to maintain her weightloss.

I think it works for some people, but for people who have true food issues and have a lot to lose, it isn't right for them.

But everyone is different.

I hate that it constantly changes. I was doing well on it until they changed everything. I hate that it is mainly just a money maker and that they have to keep changing it so you have to go out and buy all new cookbooks, calculators, etc.

I also felt like my leader wasn't very helpful and that the people I was in group with were pretty addicted to food but that was never a topic.

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.
