Non scale victory Mikee. It could be anything that tells you that you're smaller other than what the scale says. For me, it's things like being able to walk, sitting in a chair with arms and not worrying I won't fit. Not needing a belt extender on the airplane, etc, etc.

Those NSVs are way more satisfying than just numbers watching.

thanks again Gowalking...then I had a NSV this morning...put my shorts that I wear over my swimsuit and they were loose...is that a NSV. I couldn't get a full mile in the pool done this morning due to a car issue...but I was able to increase the reps of my leg exercises (that I did after my knee replacement surgeries that I now do in the pool) up 10 reps now...so I will do alittle extra walking today at work on land...love love love the pool though...LOLRH!!! Have a great day GoWalking!!!

Well I don't know what LOLRH means, lol. Actually for a long time I thought Lol meant Lots of Love. Took me a while to figure that one out! Wondered why the people who were saying that in emails were being so personal! LoL....

Yes, ma'am, that's a bonafide NSV. So is the increase of the reps.

Same here with my love for the pool. It's the one place I can exercise with no issues. I take an exercise class 2-3 times a week and if I can fit it in, I do laps as well. That pool saved me for sure. You have a great day as well Mikee.

Two months out from hiatal hernia repair.  Surgeon said to expect a lot more flatulence...something about the 'air' no longer being able to 'burp' out so comes out the other end.  That is my experience but have no understanding of why that swallowed air cannot be 'burped'. ???

As I understand it since your stomach is smaller and not completely resting against your diaphragm anymore you no longer have the ability to "push" burps out as well. Plus, since its smaller and we don't digest slower the trapped air moves a lot quicker out of the stomach so its no longer available to burp out. Hence the other option for removal.

Me too girl!! Are you in the full liquid diet right now? It’s sooooo hard!

      2. LadyVeteran1

Not yet. I was told I only have to do 24 hours of a liquid diet. But I have my pre-op tomorrow so I’m going to confirm if I need to do longer.

Down 33 lbs and slightly stalled, but I'm gonna reevaluate and push through. I started back to work last week after 2 years of being disabled due to mental health as well as my weight. It's a great job and I'm just so happy to have this opportunity at a second chance at life. Hope everyone is having their best journey ❤️ Together, we got this!
