I went out today I needed a work jacket/coat/cardigan things because I am getting so cold these days now it's winter and well I have lost 90lbs since last winter so yeah I feel the cold lol

I found a lovely merino cardigan it was 50% off as well but it was too big !!!! And they didn't have a smaller size .. That felt great lol

Then I found some track pants and pjs which I tried on and I am now wearing a size XL the last time I brought these things I was wearing a 3xl !!!! I am super stoked it felt great to walk around the shop and not have to just go to the plus size section !!!

I know that I have along way to go to reach my goal and I am only in week 9 post op but it feels so great to drop 2-3 sizes and it's great to be on track. My birthday is august 5 and I want to have drooped another 22 lbs by then (if I can) and that should be also another dress size :)

My legs and butt have gotten smaller so pants look baggy round my legs but my waist /tummy/hips is where the majority of my weight is still sitting but I know it's a slow process but once again it's great to see results...

The only down side to all of is is that because I am so short (5'1") I have to have all my pants taken up and that costs nearly as much as the pants themselves ! Lol lol

Weigh in day tomorrow wish me luck :)

My husband thinks the surgeon operated on my temperature sensor because I am always so cold now. Good luck with the weigh in. You must be in the Southern Hemisphere if winter is coming. Big congratulations on your loss so far, fantastic!

I would like to know what questions you wish you had asked prior to your duodenal switch surgery?

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
