flaco88 4 Posted June 7, 2014 Hey guys I am 5 days post op from the gastric sleeve. I got back from walking and I noticed that I was having some pinkish looking liquid coming from the incision on my belly button. Has anyone else had this problem. Its Sat and my doctors office is closed. Thanks

BeagleLover 1,020 Posted June 7, 2014 I suggest calling the doctor's office and seeing if he or she has an answering service. They could call the doctor to see if this warrants more attention.
Saramarie1023 27 Posted June 7, 2014 My doctor told me that if something like that happened I could go straight to ER or have him paged. My docs office has an after-hours emergency number on it. I wouldn't wait until after weekend to get help! 1 BeagleLover reacted to this

jesswls 17 Posted June 7, 2014 This happened to me too. Although you should call the doc ASAP I wouldn't panic. For me..Turns out it was a little old blood that got stuck under the skin/stitch. There was a little bit of puss so the doctor gave me an antibiotic just in case. I was fine the next day and no more leakage. Hope it turns out to be something simple for you!!! 2 BeagleLover and flaco88 reacted to this
flaco88 4 Posted June 9, 2014 Hey sorry I didn't get back to all of you. The doctor did call me back. Said that I probably cracked the glue a little. Said if it is not red, painful our smelly that I have no infection and take it easy so that it can seal up. 1 BeagleLover reacted to this
flaco88 4 Posted June 9, 2014 sorry I didn't get back to you all spoke to the doctor said that I probably just tore a little bit of the glue over the suture and that as long as its not red smelly or painful I have no infection and just rest up until it stops
