Pain level at 1 week out?

Recommended Posts

Hello! I am new here. My name is Nicole. I had my sleeve done on 5/29. My pain level is generally okay, but when I turn or try to lay down in bed, I get this horrible shooting pain where my internal incision is. It is so bad right now that I can't move. It feels like the incision is tearing. I don't know if this is just a sharp pain or if I should be more worried. Pain medication hasn't helped much with this particular pain.

Thanks for your help.

I had similar pain when turning or lying a certain way in bed. But if your pain persists outside of bed you need to call your dr.

Hi Nicole, I had my surgery on 5/30 I too have pain where my drain was. I find it difficult to sleep and forget laying on my side! That is NOT happening! I do know it will get better!

I'm so sorry you are hurting this bad. I hope you call your doctor today and let him know about your pain levels maybe he can give you stronger meds. Hope you feel better soon!

Hi, I had my surgery on 5/27. I stopped my morphine button on the next day. By Thursday the only pain I had was when I sat up in bed to get out to walk and it felt like I just did 100 sit ups. Now today the 7th, I have no pain at all. Any pain like that I would be right on the phone to the doctor. I am amazed at how good this feels. I hope you feel better.
