You need to add some sort of phyiscal activity to your life style, now with that said, that doesn't mean you need to be a gym head. You can do gardening, yard work, vigourous house work, walks around the neighborhood, taking the stairs every chance you can, parking in the back of the parking vs., in front of the door, etc., etc. I think some times people just hate the work exercise it's a negative thought for them so if you can add more activity into your daily life then I think this may help you get over that hurdle but yes some form of movement is necessary to keep things moving in most cases:-)

I despise exercise, but I'm despising it less the more weight I drop. Why? It's easier and I don't feel like I'm going to pass out. As suggested, start slow and manageable. Walk around your block two times a day. Walk your dog. Take a flight of stairs at work. I just started that one this week. Walk on your lunch break around the work neighborhood. Get a FitBit. I promise you'll want to move when you see it on a FitBit. Good luck.

You might want to consider exercise classes. Then you have a socializing component. I find that I enjoy my Water exercise classes because of the friends I've made. Plus, most of these classes are full of women. If you're unattached, it's a great place to meet the opposite sex.

Since my earlier post three weeks ago, I now love walking. Only walking. Lol. I find myself walking at lunchtime and taking stairs all the time. Going to a gym, notsomuch. I've met my 10,000 step goal on FitBit a few times and I strive for that every day. It's easier on weekends. As this weight comes off and I hurt less, I like moving more.

I started working out slow. I was walking in my backyard (I have almost 10 acres, and have a track). I now jog almost everyday. I feel very sluggish if I do not workout. I also have a fitbit and love it. Everyday I strive to hit 10,000 to 12,000 steps. You just have to find something that you like doing, if not you will not continue to workout. Best of luck to you.

If I recall correctly I lost about 38lbs my first 4 months post op with very little exercise. As you lose weight the fat pad around your band becomes smaller making you feel less restricted so your stall in weight loss could be due to your 28lb loss. The fill may really help you. I still don’t exercise all that much. I walk and do a 15 minute circuit training video a few times per week. If you’re ok with slow and steady weight loss then I don’t think you’ll need to work out much so long as you stay restricted. GL!
