At nearly a year out, my sleeve still surprises me...

Recommended Posts

So... I was out of town the past couple days, so I've been eating out just about every meal. Also (TMI warning) it's the dreaded TOM, so I've been eating everything in sight! I know! I'm such a piggy! ... And whatdaya know??

As of this morning, I stepped on the scale and, I have a new low weight... 128 lbs.

I love my sleeve & my sleeve loves me! lol

@@tbrous65 : on the full site, you click on your name top right, and then my tickers. I have no clue how to use the mobile app.

Tips: hmm....

Exercise: I walk/jog. I attend BodyFlow & Yoga classes 2-3 times per week. I go to a core class once per week. I do some basics at home, and I recently starting lifting heavier weights.

Food: I eat 5-6 times per day. 2-4 oz at a time. I mainly eat meats & veggies for meals. smoothies if I'm on the run. For Snacks I like yogurt, nuts, cheese, Quest bars.

Just been waiting until time for my consult with my bariatric surgeon. It's scheduled for Jan 9th. Turns out I won't actually be seeing him. Apparently it'll be with his P.A.             Not sure what to expect. I thought this is where the surgeon would discuss the best surgery option for me. For years I had my heart set on the sleeve, but I've read so many people have issues with reflux - even if they've never had it before - that they've had to be revised to the bypass. I already deal with GERD & take 40 mg of Omeprazole daily, so I started studying about bypass and honestly, it seems like it might be the better choice for me. How can we discuss surgery options if the surgeon is not there?
What happened at your first consult? Trying to get an idea of what to expect, or maybe I should say, what NOT to expect.
