AR40 88 Posted June 6, 2014 I'm 5 weeks post op and would like to make my own Protein Shakes but I heard we are not allowed to use a blender. What is everyone else doing to make their own shakes?

Bufflehead 6,358 Posted June 6, 2014 huh, I've never heard of not being allowed to use a blender. I do find that using a standard blender puts a lot of air bubbles and foam into a shake, which can be uncomfortable and gross to drink. But you can put your shake in the fridge for an hour after blending to get rid of the bubbles if a standard blender is what you have on hand. I use an immersion blender, which doesn't add any foam or air bubbles to the shake. Plus it is easier to clean!

Kindle 8,667 Posted June 6, 2014 I use a blender everyday (HB dual wave) to make Protein smoothies. Add skim milk, ice, bananas, apples, berries, whatever to my Premier Protein and Syntrax Nectar drinks.< /p> 1 mariavg reacted to this
AR40 88 Posted June 6, 2014 Thanks every one . I was told not to use a blender because of the air it puts in, but when I let it sit it separates and is not very appetizing...
