I hope you're feeling well, and resting. Thanks for the info and the update. I go 6-16... so starting to get a little freaked.

Its so strange how we all react so different...I was sleeved June 2nd and I have barely any gas pains, but my stomach is sore and tender. I'm not having any problems keeping liquids down at all...I just have to make sure I take small sips.

I know that this might sound corny but im so glad i was able to pass gas for the first time yesterday since surgery on Tuesday. I see his surgery kinda pushed a reset button on my body because on top of being sore, my cycle came back on this morning. I jusr went off my last cycle less than two weeks ago....uggghhh

I'm 5 days post and tried a Protein Drink and felt a lot of pressure . It's the first time I've felt like I had filled up pouch.. Wondering is this normal or should I wait another couple of days before I try again. I've just been on Clear Liquids.< /p>

i have to echo what everyone else is saying, had surgery 6/4 so 4 days postop. It does get better every day. A little more energy a little less pain. My gas pains were pretty bad too. And just burping or coughing or sneezing is painful. But I am noticing I am better able to differentiate between fullness and pain. Good luck everyone!

Two months out from hiatal hernia repair.  Surgeon said to expect a lot more flatulence...something about the 'air' no longer being able to 'burp' out so comes out the other end.  That is my experience but have no understanding of why that swallowed air cannot be 'burped'. ???

As I understand it since your stomach is smaller and not completely resting against your diaphragm anymore you no longer have the ability to "push" burps out as well. Plus, since its smaller and we don't digest slower the trapped air moves a lot quicker out of the stomach so its no longer available to burp out. Hence the other option for removal.

Anyone had the TORe procedure? How did it go? How much weight did you loose?

Me too girl!! Are you in the full liquid diet right now? It’s sooooo hard!

      2. LadyVeteran1

Not yet. I was told I only have to do 24 hours of a liquid diet. But I have my pre-op tomorrow so I’m going to confirm if I need to do longer.

Your so close now! It's gonna be great :) Wishing you a speedy recovery and looking forward to seeing how it goes!

Down 33 lbs and slightly stalled, but I'm gonna reevaluate and push through. I started back to work last week after 2 years of being disabled due to mental health as well as my weight. It's a great job and I'm just so happy to have this opportunity at a second chance at life. Hope everyone is having their best journey ❤️ Together, we got this!
