just keep thinking about the new life you started and the reasons you started it.

Just extremely anxious to get life started again... This is the most frustrating part, I hope!

Make sure your not getting dehydrated, lots and lots of Water. If your Drs plan allows.... Protein. GNC has a clear Protein Drink (called Isopure I think), water it down or it will taste terrible. Also Vitamins if Dr allows, they make liquid. It will help a ton. Beyond that patience, rest, and walk. You've just had major surgery and you will be tired and weak. By next week you'll be feeling much better.

I am now 3 weeks out. I urge you to walk every day, drink plenty of Water and you will feel better.

I am really liking what is happening to my body. Losing about 0.5lb minimum a day and feeling fitter every day.

Hang in there it does get better

Thank you all so much, today was another day and better than yesterday. My husband leaves tomorrow to fish in alaska for the summer so I will have 2 months to focus on just me!

How much walking we're you guys doing by this point?

Walk as far as you feel you can.

I was told by my surgeon at least 200 yards 5 times a day ( started on day after op.

You need to build it until you are doing 30 minutes at a pace that makes you slightly breathless at least 3 times a week.

I am currently doing that 3 weeks post op.

My weight is also coming down at about 0.3- 0.5 lb a day

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
