jerwelch 3 Posted June 5, 2014 Hello, there is nothing more important than having people that understand what you are going through. This journey is tough enough and not having support can make it even harder. I would like to set up a local support group in my area to help encourage and support my fellow weight loss and those of thinking to take on this journey. I am currently 18 months post op surgery Gastric RNY. I am down 175 pounds and at my goal weight of 145 pounds. Hope to get this off the ground and see everyone on the loser bench, Jerry 2 Alex Brecher and Robin Knoll reacted to this

Kimberly7490 4 Posted June 1, 2015 Hi, I'm 11 days post op tomorrow and I am down 17.5 as of this morning! It's incredible to finally see the scale moving so fast and I have felt really pretty good actually. I have always been a Water drinker and I really don't like that I cannot drink it down when I'm thirsty. I hate the small sips. Does that part ever get easier? Anyway I'm glad to have stumbled onto this forum. Kimberly
tlmaxford 0 Posted September 9, 2015 Hi I live in Bangor and I have had my first visit with Dr. Weaver at Bronson and we've decided on the r n y gastric bypass and now it's just getting all the other steps completed before I get a surgery date! Super excited yet super scared I've dieted so much and been disappointed by failing that I'm scared I'm going to mess up and not lose or hurt myself somehow. Any and all tips, advice, words of encouragement will be appreciated!!! My highest weight was 4 years ago at 446 pounds. Last March I quit drinking soda lost 26 pounds, this year still no soda and eating more veggies and fruit I'm now down to 373! Extremely proud of myself and hoping that with surgery I will get to my goal of 165-
