lisa_marieg 3 Posted July 27, 2014 I think thats what I need...again, I did a liquid pre-op diet at the beginning of the year and started to get back on track, then I had knee surgery then everything went down hill again. It is exhausting! But I won't give up or quit. 1 countrygirl reacted to this
evann_rn 1 Posted July 28, 2014 Hi everyone! I am in San Antonio, TX. I am trying to start the process to have the Sleeve done at SAMMC. I went to my PCM and was told I might not be a candidate and I did not get a referral to the bariatric clinic. This is so frustrating! I have been battling with my weight since I was 17. My BMI is 36.6. Has anyone been through the process at SAMMC? Can you tell me how you got started? Also, does anyone know of comorbidities other than the obvious ones usually listed that they will accept? Thanks!!
evann_rn 1 Posted July 28, 2014 Update!! I have my first appointment with the bariatric clinic on 8/20. I have to do the 4 hour information seminar as my first step. Come to find out I didn't need a referral from my PCP. Yay!! So I guess they will tell me if I might qualify with my comorbidities.
