I need to learn how to slow down and take everything one day at a time.
Still in the post-op stage with one 1 or 2 more appointments to go before I submit to my insurance company and I find myself questioning whether or not I'm on the right track..
My daughter's 5th birthday is quickly approaching, the closer it gets the Stronger my want is for another baby.
My husband wants me to wait and try again before the surgery, But I know that's not the right thing to do. I don't want to gain on top of my HW of 246lbs.
So, I just need to suck it up and wait it out.

BABY FEVER!! ;P

Oh, baby fever is NO JOKE! Mine is more pregnancy fever though...I miss being pregnant but having a 12 month old reminds me I can wait a little longer before jumping into this again, lol.

Well for me, my first pregnancy started when I was 190lbs and through it had high blood pressure which resulted in pre-term labor at 35 weeks. Thankfully my daughter came out perfectly healthy at 5lbs 8oz (you would never know she was a premie now!) And I was fine after delivery. Fast forward 3 year's later 2012 I found myself pregnant again, this time at 230lbs and still suffering with the high blood pressure. I went 12 weeks before we lost the baby (heart stopped beating), whether or not it was directly related to my weight I don't really know but I'm not willing to take the chance of getting pregnant again before I lose a good amount of weight this time around.

I've done a ton of baby/pregnancy research and would be shocked if your loss was weight related. All types of women, unfortunately, have had unexplained losses! Try not to blame yourself!

Of course losing weight is always the better option but I was 197 when I got pregnant, gained 60 lbs, and had a perfectly healthy and normal pregnancy and birth! (And a band baby at that!)

Well, Every time I've gotten pregnant I tend to suffer from High Blood Pressure (Only when I'm pregnant).

On top of that this past year I got married in October and we wanted to try again after (I did Atkins for 7 months before the wedding and lost 26lbs), So since then I've been off my Birth Control with no such luck and gained all the weight back and then some and now my monthly has stopped altogether without explanation. I went to my OB last month and she basically told me to lose 100lbs and thing's would "Fall into place", Easier said then done right? lol.

lol, no kidding! "Oh 100 lbs? NO PROB LADY!"

I feel you though. I lost 97 lbs and by my 1 yr bandiversary my periods still weren't regular! It took another 3 months after that to get a period. I stopped birth control on Jan didn't get pregnant until Aug even after all that weight. Have you ever been checked for PCOS? I also attrubite a lot of this crap to hormones. My body is REALLY affected by hormones...like so much I just went back on the mini pill because 'regular' birth control was turning me into a major bia! mood swings, crying, no patience... so not fun! I wanted the copper IUD but it scares me a bit.

Ovaries are weird

See that's the funny thing, after my daughter I had a check-up and they told me I had PCOS. I went home and did some research on it and turns out they couldn't really diagnos me with it until they had done blood work, I got the blood work done and they told me I was Negative for it. Also, had the copper IUD for a year and hated it my periods were like 2 weeks long with severe bleeding.

I wouldn't recommend it.

That's one of the reasons I don't want it...I've also heard my hubby might feel it during sex and he didn't like the sound of that lol.

I thought I had pcos too but I had no actual cysts. Sigh...lady parts y u so weird?!

The reason I didn't get the Mirana was because I was trying to avoid the hormones. My husband never felt my iud either, it was just he never got to enjoy me because I was constantly bleeding with it.

Hi everyone! I’m brand new here. I just went through all my pre-op requirements per my insurance company and now everything has been submitted and I’m just waiting for final approval and my surgery date. I’ve been doing research, watching YouTube videos, TikTok’s, ect.. trying to prepare my mind and what to expect so I’ll be ready for the surgery. I was so sure and so set and so ready and excited. However, now that I’ve done everything & it’s almost here, I am sooooooo scared! I know why I want it bc I’ve tried everything and I just don’t feel like I can lose weight by myself. I’m tired of being overweight my entire life. I’m miserable, but I keep psyching myself out afraid of GERD bc I know how that can be and I don’t want to have to get a bypass after already gaining the courage to even get VSG. I’m scared of complications like I’mgoing to regret doing it and be depressed that I didn’t just be more disciplined and try again to lose the weight on my own even sitting here typing this knowing in my mind i just can’t and don’t possess the discipline. I’m also afraid I won’t be able to handle the restrictions of the sleeve. What do I eat? I don’t know how to eat healthy really and don’t enjoy healthy food. I don’t know how to do this! I feel so defeated!Someone tell me they felt anything similar to this or am I not ready? I thought I was. I am so tired of being sick and tired and so tired of myself and so tired of being stuck and stuck in this body and somebody different on the outside from what I feel inside. I just want to ball up and cry.

The 14th was my day. I am home and recovery is going pretty smooth. They even let me walk out of the hospital. Picture of me in recovery curtesy of my boyfriend lol.

Neat you have a pic of this day! I was sooo happy to get my surgery. It was well worth it! And I'm not even near my goal. I had surgery Dec. 2!
