Whats the sodium count? Usually those things are really high. I try to keep my ingredients to 5 or less. Glad you found something you like!

I keep looking at them and I think they would be great for "emergencies". That said, I can eat so little now that what I do eat, I want to be quality. I am not a fan of processed meat so I wouldn't eat these as a staple, but in a pinch? For sure!

If you are a fan of these, you might like the Protein boxes at Starbucks, too. Quick, and if you toss the crackers or bread that comes with, it's a perfect grab and go lunch.

What is it exactly? lunch meat? Do we find them in the meat dept? I have a Meijer near me.

Lunch meat, cheese (prob very processed), and some nuts. I haven't actually tried them but I've had lunchables by them and their cheese is processed to the max. Oh I do love cheese. I'll have to try one of these too. They are the perfect size for a meal!

I think there are two different types. One is a wrap type thing and the other is a snack box of sorts. I wouldn't eat the wrap, I'm sure it's got tons of sodium and I don't know what kind of bread the tortilla is made out of.

I just Go to costco and buy a big thing of nuts and beef Jerky (or Walmart) and keep one serving around in my purse in a pinch.

I just looked at one at the grocery store. Looks like they use low fat cheddar cheese not the processed American cheese I thought it was. You can choose between peanuts or almonds. Looks tasty.

4 different types found by the lunchables in the refrigerated section. Walmart also carries them

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
