weightlossdiva1234 13 Posted June 3, 2014 Does anyone have a tracker that helps with getting into a routine for eating? I could use some organization help with making sure I get all my Water and Protein in. Thought I'd ask for help instead of reinventing the wheel. ???????? Baconville 578 Posted June 3, 2014 Check put MyFitnessPal.com. You track what you eat and it adds up the Protein grams. You can also add your Water as you drink it and exercise. It is a free App, but you will want to set it up off the website. If you eat Lean Cuisine meals or a packaged food, you only have to scan the bar code. Most chain restaurants have their menus in it. I strongly believe that it has made all the difference in the success I have achieved and it is what will keep me from gaining the weight back. So much easier than the old days when you had to calculate it all be hand! 2 weightlossdiva1234 and DLCoggin reacted to this
ladykatie_ 117 Posted June 3, 2014 I'd like to know too. I've tried several apps on my phone already. Maybe I'll just use a pen and notebook. Sheesh! Hey Alex, invent a Bariatric app will ya?
kimquilts55 18 Posted June 3, 2014 if you use Bariatric Advantage....they have an app that sounds something like compliant....I'm going to start on it right before I start the pre-op.
DLCoggin 1,788 Posted June 3, 2014 (edited) I second My Fitness Pal but the most important thing is maintaining a food log, regardless of which one you use. After the surgery itself, a food log is the most powerful tool you can have in your arsenal. Countless studies have shown that folks who log lose more weight, lose it faster and maintain their weight better than those who don't. You're gonna love the new you! ladykatie_ 117 Posted June 3, 2014 I got MyFitnessPal right after my surgery and hated it. I can't really remember why. I got it again after reading the post yesterday and find it helpful. I guess I want it to read my weight on the main page but that's not a big deal.
