HaddocksEyes 205 Posted July 1, 2014 Good info for sure, but the tone is kinda douchey and does nothing to improve upon the stereotypes associated with male gym rats, which i think are at least partly to blame as well for women often fearing to go to the men's side of the gym (to the free weights, for example). LOL - I love to go to the men's side and lift just as heavy as some of the guys (but not all of them,, at least not yet). "Little woman" - yeah, there's nothing little about me. 1 aroundhky reacted to this
getnhealthyintx 281 Posted July 6, 2014 I am still very intimidated about going to the boys side of the gym is free weights to do make me nervous. My gym has a woman's only section that has pretty free weights in Pink and blues don't look so intimidating. I know I'm a girly girl, actually you know what I'm not. I'm just not a gym rat. I go there to feel better about myself. The big bulky man standing around those free weights grunting makes me nervous I'm only 5 foot two and I'm pretty strong but I don't want to stand around grunting. VSGAnn2014 12,992 Posted July 7, 2014 Actually, it's excellent advice, assuming you want to achieve what the writer assumes you want to achieve, which could be true or not. (A once-upon-a-time-but-no-longer-and-never-will-be-again gym rat)
