Seriously its way healthy and a great quick meal you can cook at the beginning of the week. oatmeal is no longer just for Breakfast.< /span>here is the one i have done twice and been very very hapy withIrish steel cut oatmealonionswhole cut mushroomssoy based bacon bitsolive oillow sodium soysagerosemarygarlicsalt to taste ( least bit possible)pepperCook oatmeal seperate and use a butt load of onions and mushrooms saute the mess together and add to oatmeal as the last step.You can cut up chicken fish or turkey into it. i like mine cold but you can work out the serving temp on your ownLook up other recipies they are wide and vast. next week im doing an asian oatmeal and following that a middle eastern one.low cal, low fat,full of Fiber and filling..with chicken or fish you get the added protienPeace out skinny people 1 LindafromFlorida reacted to this Share this post Link to post Share on other sites

I'm pre-op, but I love to eat steel cut oats now in a savory way - I saute greens (like kale or spinach) and layer that on top of some oats and then fry an egg or two to go on top. I just love it.
