I am 15 days post op and down 20.2 yes I'm counting those .2 lol I have a low bmi 34.2 so I am expecting it to be slow from here on out.. Every person is different.. Sometimes the scale doesn't show but the inches show so make sure you measure too. Good luck!

As of this morning I am down 29!!! Yipee! Only approximately 40 more to go. I would be super happy losing just 20 more but 40 is my "goal" weight.

The fundamental problem on this site is that people start to compare their results to others when they shouldn't. It's not a competition. We all have our own race to win so best to stay focused on that. Everyone will lose differently. My surgeon said that when we get a gastric bypass people lose in the first 8-12 months and if I stall then change up the diet. I am 5 feet, was 210 and now 161 and my surgery was on march 31. But I have lost a ton of inches from all over my body and my clothes are huge and I just feel energised and can actually work out and not huff and puff anymore. I love my body more than anything now. I am enjoying it all :)

Just been waiting until time for my consult with my bariatric surgeon. It's scheduled for Jan 9th. Turns out I won't actually be seeing him. Apparently it'll be with his P.A.             Not sure what to expect. I thought this is where the surgeon would discuss the best surgery option for me. For years I had my heart set on the sleeve, but I've read so many people have issues with reflux - even if they've never had it before - that they've had to be revised to the bypass. I already deal with GERD & take 40 mg of Omeprazole daily, so I started studying about bypass and honestly, it seems like it might be the better choice for me. How can we discuss surgery options if the surgeon is not there?
What happened at your first consult? Trying to get an idea of what to expect, or maybe I should say, what NOT to expect.

I would like to know what questions you wish you had asked prior to your duodenal switch surgery?
