I'd anyone have scrambled eggs in the puréed phase???? How did it go if you did?

I couldn't wait to get to the puree stage and try eggs for an alternative Protein option! It was like heaven! I could only eat half of the egg at one sitting. It was easy to make the meal last by chewing, chewing, chewing...to savor the flavor and make sure there weren't going to be any issues with the texture or sticking when eating. For some people eggs seem to be hard on their stomach. Good luck, I hope you have good results!

So far so good I have had 4 bites with no issues so far. I made them with milk and a little cheese so they are nice and soft, seems to help. I can't wait for the puréed to be over I am not a fan of puréed things so I'm limited on my options for food. I'm ready to move on haha.

I'm looking forward to the pureed stage, mainly for the scrambled eggs (6 Grams Protein for one egg!) that and applesauce. only 4 days to go not counting today.

eggs were approved for my puréed stage. Mixed mine with Water to make them super soft and moist. I actually had a lot of modified Huevos rancheros in puréed stage.... Refried Beans, egg, cheese and green chili. Yum. Egg and cottage cheese also made a really soft "omelet".

. Looks like I can only do about half of the egg. But it's oh so good.

I didn't do so well with eggs. Well, egg whites in particular. For now, I am going to wait and try again later. I sure could use that Protein but it wasn't digesting well for me.

I've had egg beaters twice since starting puree (then saw how little Protein there is compared to real eggs :/), and a severely blenderized hard-boiled egg with a bit of mayo and Pickle Juice for egg salad (yes, I almost always make salad with a bit of pickle juice. Adds flavor and moisture.) The egg beaters are nice loosely scrambled. And the egg salad was heavenly. So far, eggs are the only thing I've found that actually agrees with my stomach. I pureed chicken, and managed two or three bites before my stomach very clearly announced that it had had enough.

I use to love poached eggs too. I tried some the other week and almost gagged. You gotta have some carbs and salt to choke them down. Scrambled eggs weren't bad. But that egg salad recipe sounds great.

Also I just bought egg beaters today because the have 5g of Protein. I think 1 large egg has 6g. Not much difference for the fat, and cholesterol reduction. Hopefully they taste OK. Maybe I will try them with cottage cheese as was suggested.

I decided to go with Eggland's best. I had so many doctors for teachers in my nutrition classes and sometimes it would get confusing. One teacher was all about eating a real egg, using real milk and butter because she thought our bodies were made to process them better than substitutes. Then you get a teacher who is all about using artificial products if it gets your calorie count down. Ahhhh!!! The choices!!! Anyhow I ate my first egg scrambled with a little milk and salt (oh how I enjoyed the salt after all the sweet). I also could only eat half. I am only 25 days out. Can't wait for the addition of some new foods. But have to admit the hunger is under control at this phase. Yeah....

I relied on Scrambled eggs when I first started my "pureed" stage. I would mix in american cheese. At the beginning I would only be able to eat half and egg but it was pure heaven. My dog would enjoy the rest

The first thing I had when I went from full liquids to pureed was scrambled egg whites (with Sriracha sauce). Best darned thing in the world at the time. And to this day, I have egg white omelets every single morning. They have been a godsend to me.

Be well…

Just been waiting until time for my consult with my bariatric surgeon. It's scheduled for Jan 9th. Turns out I won't actually be seeing him. Apparently it'll be with his P.A.             Not sure what to expect. I thought this is where the surgeon would discuss the best surgery option for me. For years I had my heart set on the sleeve, but I've read so many people have issues with reflux - even if they've never had it before - that they've had to be revised to the bypass. I already deal with GERD & take 40 mg of Omeprazole daily, so I started studying about bypass and honestly, it seems like it might be the better choice for me. How can we discuss surgery options if the surgeon is not there?
What happened at your first consult? Trying to get an idea of what to expect, or maybe I should say, what NOT to expect.
