iamblessed1225 61 Posted May 30, 2014 Are we able to eat popcorn?
jess9395 5,449 Posted May 30, 2014 Eventually. Check your Dr's plan. Mine allowed it at 3 mos, but that is on the early side. I had it at four months with no issues. It can be a slider food for many people (slides on thru without filling you up or providing any nutritional value) and they eat too much!
BladeFox 235 Posted May 30, 2014 I am 2.5 Months out and I started eating Skinny Pop popcorn about two weeks ago. I chew it up really good and no problems. It's my pacify go-to food.< /p>
LivingFree! 478 Posted May 30, 2014 Depends of course how far post-op you are, what stage of eating you're at, and what your program's recommendations/restrictions are. I think the concern is portions of kernels becoming lodged in places not totally healed within the sleeve and surrounding tissue (kinda like all the nooks and crannies in there), and the potential to cause complications (maybe infections, or ???). My program strongly discouraged it until one year post-op.
