Sorry TMI vaginal discharge

Recommended Posts

So I'm freaking out a little, I am about 3 weeks post op and I have had a yellow thick vaginal discharge. Has anyone else had this? It doesn't itch or burn but I did have antibiotics in the hospital? Should I treat like a yeast infection???

Well, it is of course not related to the sleeve unless you are one that gets yeast infections from antiboitics. However, yeast infections do not cause a yellow discharge - maybe you should see your general practioner doctor?

Would suggest seeing your gyn

I have that occasionally and I have fibroids so it's normal

Usually clear faint yellow occasionally

Like snot really gross

If it smells call to get an ASAP appt

While some antibiotics can cause yeast infections, if it's not itching, most likely it isn't a yeast infection. Definitely make an appointment to see your GYN. Good luck.

Yeast infections can also be a problem when your blood sugar level is out of wack? Are you a type II? If you don't know you should get your a 1 c hemoglobin done ASAP. The yeast infection can be from there.

You're not alone I also have the same thing months after the surgery slimy vaginal discharge. I did have 2 UTIs because it was hard to get fluids in in the beginning. Never had a UTI in my life before the surgery. Also I've been tested for every sexually transmitted infection as well as yeast infections and UTIs and I'm all clean but still having this discharge I hate it I have never had a problem like this before the surgery so to answer your question like no one else could I guess it is a symptom. And I wanted to put this out there in case anyone else had this problem

I’m 11 days po and have the same issue. I know it’s not an STI for a fact. But I didn’t have this issue before being sleeved. Now I just notice I’m more moist that usual…. I think it’s weird. Plan on talking to my dr about it at our visit next week.

Are you ovulating? Did it last just a few days? I would say speak with you PCP or OBGYN. If it's odorless I wouldn't worry to much but check with doc soon.

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
