Does anyone else get nausea and headaches from artificial sweeteners? Also I have bad gag reflexes when I try something sugar free.

I do. I have issues with all the "alitols" (malitol, sorbitol), splenda, aspartame, anything other than stevia bothers me . They all give me headaches. Finding Protein powders that didn't have the offending ingredients has been so much fun.

I've been bouncing around the same weight since Nov., my doctor told me to quit using artificial sweeteners. I finally started losing again.

Yes! I can only tolerate a tiny amount. I have Protein Powder that uses Stevia and I can get away with using 1/2 packet of Equal in my tea each day. That's all my system can handle!

I've noticed the taste of artificial sweeteners has been bothering me a lot. I'm buying some stevia today to try (I used to use it in my tea almost exclusively, but fell onto the Splenda wagon because that's all hubby uses)

I have found other sweeteners besides stevia. There is xylitol, Monk Fruit powder aka purelo lo han, and erythritol.

none of those I listed give me headaches. All can leave an after taste, however, it isn't that unpleasant. I found Vitamin Water zero uses stevia, as does skinny girl and some of the crystal light. Those are the only ones I use. Think thin doesn't use splenda or aspartame. For those who care, the FDA just approved a name change for aspartame. It is to be listed as Aminosweet. I read all ingredients very carefully, twice.

I have put forth much effort to lose weight and be healthy. After so much effort, I don't see why I should pollute my body with stuff I consider doubtful.
