Sharpie 3,306 Posted June 3, 2014 that sounds like fun. I play Omaha hi/lo. I could play in CT at Foxwoods but it's 4/8 and I can't afford that and also I have never played in a large game like that. When real money was allowed on Poker Stars I played $3-$5. games only. yes we have quite a few casino's here in Fla. Hard Rock in Tampa and Miami area are the largest, I like Ocala because it's small and it's poker and Jai Alai. I only play small time. It's my one day of no phones, no kids, no husband lol. plus sometimes I win money.
Bandista 7,466 Posted June 4, 2014 Went to the doctor for arthritis flare-ups -- have a high tolerance for pain but it's been getting out of hand.......LB surgeon is fine with NSAIDS but I'm not, too many risks overall. So it turns out an anti-depressant medication, Cymbalta, is being recommended for arthritis pain relief (osteo) so I decided to give it a try. I have been sort of tripping the last 27 hours, feeling very weird after one 30 mg dose. Have ordered 20 mg replacement and think I will give it another few days as maybe it takes time to settle in -- plus I had grapefruit last night and that could have released too much at once. Original script was 30 mg for seven days then up to 60. Any one have any experience in this world? I don't want to put it out to the whole forum. Oh, also this is an anxiety-reducing medication -- I figure that can't hurt -- and even though I am not depressed I would think more serotonin is okay...just thought I'd reach out here too while I'm feeling so weird. Any other arthritis or fibro-myalgia people who have tried Cymbalta?

Any other arthritis or fibro-myalgia people who have tried Cymbalta? Uh oh....I just dropped off the same script this morning. The pain management doctor wants me to try the Cymbalta since the Neurontin isn't working. Same dose too...30 mgs. He told me I might be 'jittery' for a few days. Sounds like it might be alot more than that based on what you're telling us. Oh...and another thing Bandista. Cymbalta at higher doses is for depression. For pain, lower doses are prescribed so you likely won't get any relief in the anxiety-reducing arena. Please keep me posted on how you do while on the med. I'll start it in a couple of days. Sheese......
Bandista 7,466 Posted June 4, 2014 @@gowalking -- you, too? Now I feel like I'm on the cutting edge, Miss NYC! But seriously, don't go by my initial reaction as I am very sensitive to medication. This stuff is nothing compared to Neurontin, Lyrica, etc. Wouldn't it be great if it worked?! Glad to hear your doc's "jittery a few days" comment so I know it's not just me. Also glad to know this is a lower dose and not the same as for depression. I'm pretty happy and don't want to mess with that! As for anxiety, mine is pretty slight and manageable with mindful breathing, no coffee, etc. We will have to compare notes on the Cymbalta for arthritis relief. I got the 20 mg caps and took one this afternoon. So far so good, not flying like last night but still a little out of body. It's raining and my pain is down so that's something. I hope to give this a good eight-week trial and reassess. Didn't mean to hijack this thread with my pharmaceutical woes. In other news, folks......I GOT A BIKE! 3 gowalking, SillyAuntDi and Debbie3sons reacted to this
JustWatchMe 7,117 Posted June 5, 2014 A bike! I tried riding about two months ago and it was too painful for my knee. Maybe I'll try again. 2 Bandista and Debbie3sons reacted to this

Shazam 517 Posted June 5, 2014 wow, i have been banded with plication for almost 2 yrs and been on this forum for 2 yrs 4 months..where has the time gone? i am happier today then i was when i started in Feb 2012...compared to where i am now today.. the only (advice) i want to give is the following (take it or ignore it): call your doctor if you are hurting or concerned or need (assistance w/questions can i or should i eat/do/drink) i strongly advise anyone to do what THEIR doctor says, not mine or anyone elses.. use common sense (you cant gain true weight overnight and you wont lose true weight overnight) eating more calories than you burn off will make you gain weight with or without any WLS reality is clothes sizes getting smaller is a accurate sign of losing weight (dont focus totally on the metal monster) you do not have to be at goal in six months...get there when you do...WLS has no expiration date and last but not least believe in yourself to give yourself credit..you know if you eat too much of the not so great food chioices out there dont say the WLS did not stop you..you stop you.....YOU can control yourself..(you wont step out in front of a train would you??) WLS will help you but it wont be the save all as that part is up to you and me be well and all the best to you. I love this!!! Carolina Girl you're always spot on!!! 2 Bandista and Debbie3sons reacted to this

readysetg070113 1,476 Posted June 6, 2014 Happy Friday everyone ... Wondering what you all see in the mirror as u meet your goal? My best friend said to me yesterday when discussing body types stop saying your a big girl because ur not anymore ... That she's average and I'm even smaller than that. I can't stop replaying that in my head my brain not catching up still reaching for xl workout pants when they should be a large and maybe a medium. Me im scared to try on medium pants ... Shirts are now moving to medium. Why can't I see it? I still see me I didn't see my self as almost 300 pounds and I can't see myself at 195. Although I showed my trainer a pic and I can see it there but I still can't see it. Sorry to ramble . Nervous wreck on top of it due to my first Spartan race Tom my trainer said he will help me over the walls I can step on his back and he will lift me to get over it. But I'm afraid I'll hurt him crazy as it sounds he can lift 500lbs but in my head I'm still 300lbd sigh to much going on in my head. 5 Bandista, Debbie3sons, naenaern777 and 2 others reacted to this
