You go ahead and get them nails done. You never know who's paying attention. One day last week, one of my coworkers saw a new color on my nails and said to me that I had such pretty hands and my nails always looked so nice. I keep 'em short and don't do crazy colors but it really is a very feminine thing to do and makes me feel put together. Same thing with the makeup. It's not vanity...it's all about caring for ourselves. In fact, get the toes done too...LOL.

@@JustWatchMe , just remember the young ones have procedures to have thigh gap we have it naturally LOL because we are putting in our work to lose weight be proud of those sagging things we have worked hard to have them.

You're so right, @@Debbie3sons! These thighs are hard earned. They may not look like much from an aerial view, but in my new jeans they look damn good!

I always get manicures and pedicures. I can't file or polish. It does make you feel better about your hands. Wear fun rings too. I love rings. My mother died last month and she had a wonderful fun ring she wore. Being the only daughter I knew it would be mine. The nursing home threw it away by accident. I did get a check and picked out a new fun ring. Just need to look around first to make sure it's the right one for me.

As far as dating. Go for it. Have fun. Enjoy great company or not great company. But enjoy life. I belong to many FB WLS groups. One woman lost over 250. She had many surgeries done. But, big but, her thighs after all this are huge and cottage cheese. She is fine with this. She looks at the 250 loss not at the thighs. Great attitude.

Men also see the person not the body.

Everyone have a great day. Rain in Boston today. I may have jury duty tomorrow. Won't find out until later. I hope I don't. I have ADD and I am hard of hearing.

Arlene

And when the jeans come off the guy if he is worth it won't care. That's what I keep telling myself. The reality is his is who we are for now or until plastic surgery. Also I think our bodies look worse To us then others . I was embarrassed to try I this outfit with my legs are so huge ( wrinkle hanging yuck) and my sis was like nope looks great. Yes she's my sis but loves me enough to be honest ... I hope

good to see all is doing well. i survived my trip home - though i do have a 3lb gain for my trouble .. mind you considering the food choices i made while home i was very happy to only see a 3lb gain i had actually expected something far worse. My band really helped keep me under control. while the food choices very often where not the best the quantity never got out of control being able to stop and say i had enough was so empowering.. pity it doesn't work on cider :D then i may have come home with a loss .....

Hi all

I went to my doctor last week and I ask for a fill but that was a no, no from my doctor he said lets see on december when you comback we will talk about it , he ask me if I have restriction wich I have but I am getting hungry often he said losing 62 pounds in 10 months is great for him and to reduce my calories to 600-800 at day because he do not want to put me on red, I understand him, my knee surgery keep me out from exercising only bike three times at week and those 3 pounds to get to my 200 are getting harder, hopefully by the end of October I will get rid of those 3 pounds and meet onerland!!!

Hey @@Bandista, I did the victory pose in the bathroom after I stepped out of the tub and guess what? My arms don't flap when they are vertical, my belly was lifted an inch, and it even perked up the "girls"!!! Think I can just keep up that pose all day at work? Lol

People just being busy & enjoying life now , but it does seem to be a bit quite , Let's see what happens when it starts to cool off a little at least here in California, also with the different chapters going on people are getting to talk to people in person & meet up , I still have to come here because I like the support from people that are far & near.

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
