Can you eat peanut butter, yes or no??

Recommended Posts

I, too, can eat peanut butter...with no problem. I usually put some on a graham cracker. It's a great source of Protein and that combination seems to keep the hunger away for quite some time.

I have not had any problems with Peanut Butter but I have not eaten by the spoonful. I usually put a 1/2 T. in my Protein Shake because I like the taste. My other favorite thing is to take a no sugar added fudgesicle and a tsp on Natural Peanut Butter. Microwave in a bowl about 12 seconds just until fudgesicle comes off stick, mix them together and add a small dollop of cool whip. Fold that in and put it back in the freezer. It makes a really yummy not too bad for you dessert. SOmetimes I like it really frozen and other times I like it not as frozen and more like a mousse. So good and takes care of my decadent cravings!

Powdered Peanut Butter? ?? Somehow I doubt that would taste as good spread on my Wasa cracker. LOL! Must be good in a smoothie though!

You mix 2 tablespoons of powdered Peanut Butter with 1 tablespoon of Water for a sandwich. It's so good. Just like fresh peanuts without all the other added things that are bad for us. Also, you can mix it directly into whatever kind of jelly you like for PB and J! Awesome. I use the real fruit jelly with no sugar added or sugar free. :)

I have to be careful with anything on crackers.

I try to stay away from Peanut Butter as I'm prone to eating it by big spoonfuls.

Hey Jacqui, I had Vegemite on a salada the other day and it hurt so badly!:) I can't eat crackers anymore. Susannah

I have always loved me some Peanut Butter, I can eat it with no problems so far since being banded. bread and I don't get along right now, so I eat it on celery, or alone. just not very often....

For me Peanut Butter is a very satisfying snack. Yes, the fat content is high, but my surgeon even said that a little fat will stave off hunger for longer and he recommends peanut butter. He is not into a totally fat free diet. I don't eat it often, but a heaping teaspoon does wonders. I get the low fat, sugar free style. I blob it on a spoon and slowly suck it off the spoon. Not to much at one time.

Hi everyone! I’m brand new here. I just went through all my pre-op requirements per my insurance company and now everything has been submitted and I’m just waiting for final approval and my surgery date. I’ve been doing research, watching YouTube videos, TikTok’s, ect.. trying to prepare my mind and what to expect so I’ll be ready for the surgery. I was so sure and so set and so ready and excited. However, now that I’ve done everything & it’s almost here, I am sooooooo scared! I know why I want it bc I’ve tried everything and I just don’t feel like I can lose weight by myself. I’m tired of being overweight my entire life. I’m miserable, but I keep psyching myself out afraid of GERD bc I know how that can be and I don’t want to have to get a bypass after already gaining the courage to even get VSG. I’m scared of complications like I’mgoing to regret doing it and be depressed that I didn’t just be more disciplined and try again to lose the weight on my own even sitting here typing this knowing in my mind i just can’t and don’t possess the discipline. I’m also afraid I won’t be able to handle the restrictions of the sleeve. What do I eat? I don’t know how to eat healthy really and don’t enjoy healthy food. I don’t know how to do this! I feel so defeated!Someone tell me they felt anything similar to this or am I not ready? I thought I was. I am so tired of being sick and tired and so tired of myself and so tired of being stuck and stuck in this body and somebody different on the outside from what I feel inside. I just want to ball up and cry.

The 14th was my day. I am home and recovery is going pretty smooth. They even let me walk out of the hospital. Picture of me in recovery curtesy of my boyfriend lol.

Neat you have a pic of this day! I was sooo happy to get my surgery. It was well worth it! And I'm not even near my goal. I had surgery Dec. 2!
