Was almost 1 month with no weight lost and I am only 7 weeks out. After reading lots of material I tried increasing my calories to around 800-900 and the weight is coming off. Down 5 pounds in 5 days. I think when we are only eating 500-600 calories a day and exercising the body is in starvation mode. I am exercising at least 5 days per week (10,000 steps) and eating 5-6 small meals a day. Mostly Protein and vegetables very little carbs.

I've been really curious about this, so interesting to hear you say something I've been seeing, too. I've really tried to make lifestyle changes pre-op to see how it will be post-op, and have been subbing Protein shakes for two meals each day and walking about an hour each day. I found that when my weight loss stalls, if I just eat more for a day or two, that seems to kickstart the loss again! I guess I just need to more carefully calculate the right number of calories for me!

I call it feeding the stall...it has happened to me a couple of times. You can also try mixing up your exercise (if you're approved). There are lots of opinions regarding "starvation mode" - some believe that theory, some don't.

I know that when I was restricting carbs, I stopped losing. When I increased them (not a lot, up to 40-50 per day), my body liked that more. Your numbers are your numbers - you may have to play around with them a little to find your sweet spot.
