Tracic 11 Posted May 27, 2014 I am scheduled for surgery on July 15th and then suppose to be a camp counselor 3 weeks later. Just curious is I am pushing it? I can pack food, but I am worried about lifting or what kind of restriction I should expect. Fortunately, there will be lots of help there but I don't want to push myself too far and end up worse off. Can you tell me what you were able to do or not due at 3 weeks out? joatsaint 2,814 Posted May 27, 2014 At 3 weeks, I was allowed soft foods or purees. At home things were back to normal. At work things were back to normal. My job doesn't require any heavy lifting. Just to be on the safe side, I wore the elastic stomach support the hospital gave me for the 1st month post-op. During this time, I never tried any weight lifting exercises, but my doc encouraged me to walk as much as possible.
Baeball Mom 104 Posted May 27, 2014 I am your worst case person. I was back at work in 3 weeks, but looked like I was dead. I had massive infections and was in the hospital for another week. With no complications you should be fine to go to work.. Good Luck it is so worth it... I love my sleeve!
