lifting restrictions?

Recommended Posts

I am scheduled for surgery on July 15th and then suppose to be a camp counselor 3 weeks later. Just curious is I am pushing it? I can pack food, but I am worried about lifting or what kind of restriction I should expect. Fortunately, there will be lots of help there but I don't want to push myself too far and end up worse off. Can you tell me what you were able to do or not due at 3 weeks out?

At 3 weeks, I was allowed soft foods or purees. At home things were back to normal. At work things were back to normal. My job doesn't require any heavy lifting. Just to be on the safe side, I wore the elastic stomach support the hospital gave me for the 1st month post-op. During this time, I never tried any weight lifting exercises, but my doc encouraged me to walk as much as possible.

I am your worst case person. I was back at work in 3 weeks, but looked like I was dead. I had massive infections and was in the hospital for another week. With no complications you should be fine to go

to work.. Good Luck it is so worth it... I love my sleeve!

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.

Hi, I’m new here. I’m currently on the liver shrinking diet. So far so good, but I have to say I haven’t found a protein shake I like. Anyone have any suggestions please? My surgery date is September 17th.

Fairlife Core are by far the best. They taste just as they are - chocolate milk. You can either get the 26 grams or the 42 grams (harder to find and more expensive). For straight protein look at Bulksuppliments.com ..they have really good whey proteins and offer auto ship plus they test for purity. No taste or smell...

Fairlife has strawberry, vanilla and of course chocolate. No more calories than other protein drinks. Stay away from Premiere, they're dealing with lawsuits due to not being honest about protein content.
