kathyhall 1 Posted May 27, 2014 Am so aggravated I have done all I can do I still have only lost 65 since surgery. Low carb low calorie I used my fitness pall for months and gave up. My surgeon said I had slight dilation upper stomach and I complained and said I want a revision he was rude blamed me for eating more calories when I keep very low below 800most days. My weight loss came to a halt 5 months out. The surgeon is a douche and even though I still have high blood pressure and sleep apnea he says another surgery isn't medically necessary. It pissed me off because it is medically necessary I hardly had restriction early on it is like my surgeon just doesn't care because they have never had to do a sleeve revision. I saw the dietician once I started gaining weight back and she couldn't figure out why I was not losing or gaining. So I give up seriously I give it to God if he wants me to be obese let it be his will sw 365 cw 300 to 306 it goes up and down all the time. Please don't give me a lecture about carbs calorie cardio I have heard it all. Sigh just want to be heard!

woo woo 872 Posted May 27, 2014 She says in the title of the post that she was sleeved, I am not sure if this is a revision from a previous band or not?

woo woo 872 Posted May 27, 2014 Maybe you could seek advice from another doc and get a second opinion regarding your sleeve and whether a revision is indicated? I am sure you must be very frustrated.
sophie'sChoice 269 Posted May 27, 2014 I hear you. We all do. Really we do. And although you didn't ask for advice, please take this in the manner in which it is intended. Start tracking everything again so that you have a recent record of what you are consuming and then get a second opinion. You never know, it may bring you new possibilities, options, or at least peace of some kind. Good luck!

moonlitestarbrite 902 Posted May 27, 2014 you need a second opinion with different surgeon and a stomach xray to see what is happening with your sleeve. this would be considered a failure of the procedure, so insurance should pay for it no problem.
kathyhall 1 Posted May 29, 2014 Thank you all I do need a second opinion.
leeann71 539 Posted May 29, 2014 Have you had your hormones checked? Maybe it could be your thyroid? I had my surgery in Dec2012 and came to a halt just like you, then went to my primary and got my hormones back on track and I am losing again. Couldn't hurt to give it a try. LindafromFlorida 1,542 Posted May 29, 2014 Never ever give up! You do not want to regain the weight you lost. Keep working to maintain and lose. You really can do it!
