deeangel31 0 Posted May 27, 2014 Hello everyone!....I don't post much but I do try to keep up with posts when I can. I have an issue that's really starting to wear on my nerves and I was looking for some friendly input from fellow bypass patients. Here's whats going on....I feel sick to my stomach...alot....Dr found gallstones so in March had my gallbladder removed and her also ran scope down to look at my pouch and make sure there were no ulcers. All was good there..... Ok, thought I was finally gonna feel better. No....still happening. Last night, I was already in bed and it hit me all of a sudden. Stomach hurting, cold sweat all the same things as before and the only thing I can seem to throw up is clear foamy looking stuff...That happened twice last night. Was up till 2 this morning. Finally took a phenergen and got some sleep.Has anyone else had this happen before or does anyone have any idea what is causing this? I go back to Dr tomorrow but was hoping for some veteran input from you guys as well. I' tired of feeling sick all the time!!!! HELP!!!
DelayedGratification 14 Posted May 27, 2014 So sorry you're going through this. I've never experienced anything like it. Hopefully your doctor can get to the root of your problem and you can find some peace. Praying for your wellness! 1 deeangel31 reacted to this
deeangel31 0 Posted June 3, 2014 Thanks!.....Dr seems to think it is combo of adjusting to no gallbladder and possibly dumping. She also seems to think that if I let my pouch get empty, sometimes it can make you feel nauseated. Only problem I have with all this is that regardless of what I do, I still feel sick. Watch what I eat, try to make sure I eat at regular intervals, everything. I guess its just gonna take a while from the gallbladder surgery for body to adjust. Thats what I'm going to rely on anyway! Writerjennifer 107 Posted June 3, 2014 (edited) The video my surgeon made me watch said that happens to 5% of patients, that it it's something to do with scar tissue at the opening of the pouch. It also said drinking a little warm liquid like tea 30 minutes before a mean and before bedtime helps to prevent it. shouldn't hurt to try? Good luck. Hope it helps Edited June 3, 2014 by Writerjennifer
