I found a winner! 60 grams of protein and excellent taste!

Recommended Posts

I was having a hard time gettin in my Protein because I'm one of the people that liked my previous shake before surgery and after, couldn't drink it without gagging.

I began to research and found a Protein Isolate shake "purest premium protein" it taste great and the price was just as acceptable. The flavor is vanilla Creme and mixes into Water best. If u like vanilla shakes, u will love this stuff...

A seller for me was I hated having 3 shakes a day to get 60 grams of protein. Now I make one shake with 12 oz of water and 2 scoops and I'm set for the day. I can freeze it and eat it with a spoon or because Its 98% lactose free I can even leave it sitting out and it doesn't sour. I can take all day with my 1 shake and meet my minimum goal....I love it!!

Try it....

Good idea must give it a try! My only problem is that I am having a hard time drinking my current 11 ounce shake in one day. But as time progress I will shoot for your recommendation.

I've been using that for a year now, and have found it's one of the best. It's also low carb.

Yup....Wal-Mart for about $20. I literally ready every review and the only 2 negative were because they don't like the flavor. But I love the flavor and even the smell of it!! Already finished 6oz another 6 by the end of the day and I'm goin to feel great!

Is it grainy? This sounds like a winner! Thanks for sharing. I was just approved today, but have been doing the pre-op diet for a few weeks and trying various products.

I have body fortress chocolate & it is pretty good. I wasn't able to tolerate it pre surgery. I got a tub at Walmart for about $15.

Nope, not grainy at all. Its perfectly smooth. Taste like a melting vanilla shake. Definitely try it. I remember that stage, congrats to u!! Just remember one thing on day 2 and 3, after the first month it won't be so bad, soon u will love your decision again!!! Lol

I'm not sure if that's the case but I could never drink the whole shake in one sitting. One serving is 30 grams which is one scoop in 6 oz of Water but I drink double that for the entire day.

I do have to stop myself and save some for later most times just cuz I wanna space it out...but good too in case that is the case...lol.

Ohhhh how I want the chocolate! They're sold out every time...Smh.

I wonder if that one's just cheaper or my Wal-Mart jacked up the price! Hmmm...

Two months out from hiatal hernia repair.  Surgeon said to expect a lot more flatulence...something about the 'air' no longer being able to 'burp' out so comes out the other end.  That is my experience but have no understanding of why that swallowed air cannot be 'burped'. ???

As I understand it since your stomach is smaller and not completely resting against your diaphragm anymore you no longer have the ability to "push" burps out as well. Plus, since its smaller and we don't digest slower the trapped air moves a lot quicker out of the stomach so its no longer available to burp out. Hence the other option for removal.

Me too girl!! Are you in the full liquid diet right now? It’s sooooo hard!

      2. LadyVeteran1

Not yet. I was told I only have to do 24 hours of a liquid diet. But I have my pre-op tomorrow so I’m going to confirm if I need to do longer.

Your so close now! It's gonna be great :) Wishing you a speedy recovery and looking forward to seeing how it goes!

Down 33 lbs and slightly stalled, but I'm gonna reevaluate and push through. I started back to work last week after 2 years of being disabled due to mental health as well as my weight. It's a great job and I'm just so happy to have this opportunity at a second chance at life. Hope everyone is having their best journey ❤️ Together, we got this!
