K2Renee 1 Posted May 24, 2014 Hello everyone, my surgery isn't schedule until June 6th, but I been of ways of increasing my success. I thought maybe I can start juicing fruits and veggies by maybe that 2nd or 3rd week post op. Is that a good idea?
ziggypbang 272 Posted May 24, 2014 Juices have not been part of my prescribed plan. Even though they might be OK at first, eventually you want to be in the habit of eating whole fruits and veggies, which give us the Fiber and the feeling of fullness along with the nutrients. liquids and juices slide right through our litte tummies, without making us feel full. Real food sticks around for a couple hours. Purees and Soups are good when you get off the Clear Liquids, but I don't know if I'd want to start a juice habit, delicious as it might be. Sleeveless in seattle 208 Posted May 24, 2014 My Nut says no fruit juice after the first few weeks. If you want fruit, eat fruit. It has the needed Fiber and stuff but juice is like sugar in a cup.
Nicolanz 1,484 Posted May 24, 2014 I agree with the previous posters. Juicing waste so much of the fruit. It'd be better to make a smoothie with a blender if you're not big on eating fruits and vegetables. I like to use frozen berries, half of a frozen banana, Greek yogurt, kale or spinach, and chocolate Protein Powder. It taste like a chocolate shake! 1 GoldnGirl6677 reacted to this
