pookybear 284 Posted May 22, 2014 Sorry for the icky stuff ahead. I moved this past weekend. I don't know if the stress of moving has gotten to me or it's something else. I have only pooped once since last Friday, and barely any at that. I don't really feel like I have to go either. No pressure or bloating. My stomach is a little crampy but that may because I've been taking stool softeners to try and go. Also, I'm on Nuva Ring currently and I started bleeding the other day. Not heavy, but enough for a pad or tampon. I'm not scheduled to remove the ring until Saturday. At this point I don't know what's up. Don't know if I should call the doc or wait and see if my system calms down.
James Marusek 5,244 Posted May 22, 2014 I ran into a severe Constipation problem after surgery. I found a simple cure for me that worked well. I eat an apple or two before I go to bed. It is important to eat the skin also. You can also get constipation if you liquid intake is too low and you become dehydrated.
pookybear 284 Posted May 22, 2014 I probably have been drinking less than I should be over the last week or so with moving and all, but usually I feel pressure to go and can't. Right now, I don't even feel that.
pookybear 284 Posted May 22, 2014 I should also add, I started taking 2 stool softener daily last week and went quite a bit last week. I wonder if maybe I cleaned myself out and there's just not enough built up yet to go.
healthyme1963 136 Posted May 22, 2014 James' advice is spot on. Make sure you are getting enough Water and Fiber each day. I also eat an apple every day. It works better than any ol' stool softener.
pookybear 284 Posted May 22, 2014 I think you're all correct on the lack of fluids and Fiber. Thanks! Anyone have anything to chime in on the birth control issue?
