cfred 2 Posted April 16, 2007 I just found this site over the weekend and all I can say is I LOVE IT. I think all I've done all weekend is look around and I've learned so many things. I'm from TX, the Dallas area. I'm 32 years old - been married for 10 1/2 years and have one 14 month old baby boy. Our son is the joy of our life. I'm really excited to get to talk to everyone out there... Have a great week!

JaneB 0 Posted April 16, 2007 Hello all. I'm also new from Texas and I have a 20 month old boy and a 4 year old girl. I live in Bedford (mid-cities between Dallas and Ft. Worth). I was banded last Thursday, 4/12/07. So far, it's been really really difficult to drink anything. Even when I just drink a sip of Water (like a teaspoon), I feel a really heavy painful sensation like I need to burp. When I finally burb, it's better. I was told I need to be drinking at least 64 oz. of liquid a day. There's no way I've been able to do that. I'm amazed at all these posts that say people aren't losing weight. How in the world can you even eat?!?

pjlajara 0 Posted April 17, 2007 Can't wait to be banded...... From the DFW area, I had my consult in early February with Dr. Adam Smith, had my phyc eval and nutrition visit. I am waiting to hear from the doctor's office as to what the next step is, when they will submit to insurace company etc. I have Great-West Healthcare - anyone with any experience with them? Anyway, just can't wait until I have my surgury scheduled - at that point I will feel that I am actually doing something. How long does it generally take once you have submitted that to the office??? Any ideas? Sorry to have so many questions, but just feel that I am out here in space by my self!
cfred 2 Posted April 17, 2007 Congrats! Keep me posted. What Doctor will you be seeing? I am seeing Dr. Davidson at Presby Dallas... Are you banded?
HelenC 0 Posted April 18, 2007 Welcome to all you new Dallasites! I'm from the Lake Tawakoni area, work in downtown Dallas, and was banded by Richard Benavides in Richardson
Macysgranny 1 Posted April 18, 2007 Is there any such thing as a Lake Tawokian? LOL...I am going to Dr. Stephan in Mesquite. His office should be submitting all my paperwork this afternoon to BC/BS of CA and then I will play the waiting game...glad to see all the local area people joining in! HelenC 0 Posted April 18, 2007 Since my address is actually Quinlan, does that make me a Quinlanonian, or a Quinlanite? There are a LOT of DFW folks around here, but not many out our way, that I've seen anyway.
