Insurance Denied

I have Humana Medical Insurance and it would not cover my sleeve surgery, although they said it would cover my husband because he is the employee but not any family on his plan would be covered. That is the most ridiculous thing!

I ended up having my surgery 4/2014 and financing over $13,000. I am diabetic and have heart disease in my family which would make sense to me that the insurance company would cover considering the possible health problems I could get.

Anyone else had a problem like this with insurance?

Insurance wouldn't cover for me so I financed over $18,000. Sucks but nothing I can do about it but move on.

That's the weirdest thing I've ever heard. You should've asked for that in writing and appealed it
