Hmm. I haven't experience this but the first thing that came to my mind is maybe dry skin Patches? Are you drinking enough fluids? Have you maybe eaten something different to cause an allergic reaction? I'm sure you've already thought of these things just throwing it out there:-) Good luck, I hope you find the cause!

@@Mikee57 I would give the doc a call just because this is allergy season! You could be having an allergy that you never had and I have seen that happen before where someone suddenly becomes sensitive to a food or something in the environment.

thanks enjoythetime and Lisa...I will call the doctor today about it...you can't see it really with my glasses on but really in your face when I take them off and I need to do that when I am reading or on the computer. so the only thing I know I am doing differently is Water walking in a salt water pool...so I really don't get my face wet LOL...but maybe he will know. as for water/fluid comsumption...I drink about 128 oz a day. my dietitian says to drink half my weight...its rough some days. Ladies thanks again so much...and just on a high note, I am down unofficially (my scales) down 44 lbs YEAH!!! sorry just a really bit happy!!! LOL

So what did the doc have to say? Interesting a salt Water pool is that different in any special kind of way? You know I remember when I was in Hawaii and I came home I had this odd rash all over the place I went to the Dr. and it was actually from the sun! Yup the sun. It was some kind of dermatological reaction with sunscreen I had used and the ocean (salt) water. So I wonder if that might be something....

doctor hasn't returned call yet...however, the sea salt Water is very inexpensive to run and it has its own natural chlorine in it...healthier too. but the pool is in an enclosure with a roof that opens up which is really neat...just wish they had more of them in our area...I go really early in the morning and there are alot of folks that go there too before work or just older folks that are up at 5:30 in the morning. I thank you two for your concern and I'll post once I hear from the doctor hopefully it will be today.

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
