Back pain ? Gallbladder

Recommended Posts

Two evenings ago, I began having back pain that is sharp and located around the level of L1. It It occurs when I eat! It is really painful to breathe in a normal to deeper breath.

I know that typical gallbladder symptoms are right sided. I question the gb because of the occurrence with eating. It's gotten so uncomfortable that I hate to eat.

My surgery was 4 months ago, in Mexico.

Has anyone else had these type of pains/symptoms?

Thanks for your input.

I had my gallbladder removed in January. I did hear that pain is typically right-sided, but that's not what I experienced. I suffered immense pain central to my stomach & radiating through to my back, I actually that it was gastritis, but after 4 days I ended up in hospital on morphine, waiting for surgery! I would definitely get it checked out, better to be safe than sorry :)

When I had the pain before they removed mine, I had chest pain that went through to my back, the surgeon said it's common in women

Left sided could mean diverticulosis, which I was diagnosed with about 8 years ago.

I also had issues with my gall bladder, so it was removed last month when I was sleeved. Golf ball sized gall stone! the pain was definitely on the right side with that.
