WhoKnows 288 Posted May 17, 2014 There are other good reasons to take Probiotics as well. For one, some studies have shown that people with robust gut flora are better at maintaining a healthy weight. 1 Pretty_In_Purple reacted to this

Bigmommatojacob 54 Posted May 17, 2014 (edited) What is Probiotics? I haven't went to bathroom like that in five days. Edited May 17, 2014 by Bigmommatojacob
Oregondaisy 2,021 Posted May 17, 2014 I'd like to know a good brand. Our health food here says in order for them to work, they need to be refrigerated. I see them in all the stores not in the refrigerator. I am confused! 1 Pretty_In_Purple reacted to this
rmtjones81 1 Posted May 17, 2014 (edited) Yes, a probiotic is actually recommended as one of the daily supplements that should be taken after the VSG. It does help regulate your movements as well as promote healthy intestional bacteria. The brand that I have had great success with is the Bariatric Advantage which can be ordered online. It has been said that patients that take probiotics after surgery loose more weight. Hope this helps! reading mom 85 Posted May 18, 2014 Probiotics are one piece of the pie for keeping things regular. Also important is adequate Fiber and fluids. My friend who is a registered dietitian recommended align for me. She said many studies done on the use of probiotics use align and she felt confident about recommending that brand. Of course your mileage may vary, but it's one to try. 2 Pretty_In_Purple and Oregondaisy reacted to this
